Chapter 4: Cell Structure & Function
Cells are remarkable tiny things. They are the smallest unit of life, meaning each one meets the seven characteristics of life. They also are incredibly complex. In this chapter, we will learn about these little wonders and all the parts that make them up. A healthy cell is much like a tiny city, with everybody having a job to do to keep the city running. And add to this that you are made up of nearly 3 trillion cells (3,000,000,000,000) and it becomes clear that we are very complex creatures. Enjoy your journey to understanding cells!
