Chapter 6/7: Photosynthesis/Cellular Respiration
The Carbon Cycle. One of the most complex and most important cycles found in nature. Without it life, as we know it, could not exist. We depend on plants for Oxygen and they in turn depend on us for Carbon dioxide. It all begins with the sun. Plants have the ability to take the sun's energy and turn it into usable form of energy, carbohydrates. These carbohydrates feed both the plant and us in the form of food. This process is called Photosynthesis. When food is eaten or when a plant needs to grow, these carbohydrates are broken down and the sun's energy is released. This process is called Cellular Respiration.
